Police operatives attached to Ondo State Police Command have arrested a security guard named Abiodun Osuntimehin, for allegedly killing one of his colleague during a robbery operation at S.A filling station located in Ondo town.
CRIMECHANNELS gathered that the suspect was a worker in the same filling station him and his 5 man gang operated in.
It was learnt that Abiodun shot his colleague dead during the operation and his gang carted away with 2 million naira.
After the operation, Abiodun was said to have not gotten his own share form the operation due to the other robbers were unreachable.
During investigation, he confessed to the crime of killing his colleague and carting away with 2 million naira.
Speaking to journalists, he said, “I now regret the killing of my colleague; I did not share out of the money as the gang ran away. It was my boss that got me arrested. I knew there would be money at the station that day.”
He stated that he earned only 25,000 thousand naira while working for the filling station, adding that the money was not enough.
Meanwhile, the Police Public Relations officer of Ondo State Command, ASP Tee-leo Ikoro confirmed the incident, he said that the suspect will be charged to court.
He said that the Police are also trailing the other members of the gang who are currently on the run.
” They will be arrested and brought to justice, “he added.
