Insecurity: Improve on tactics, embrace new technologies – CDS charges JTF commanders

The Chief of Defence Staff(CDS), General Christopher Musa, have charged commanders of the various Joint Task Force operations across the country to improve on their strategies, tactics, and capabilities to effectively counter emerging threats.

Gen Musa, have also charged the commanders to embrace new technologies, fostering a culture of innovation, and promoting a learning mindset to maintain an operational edge against the adversaries.

The CDS, gave the charge at the closing of the maiden DHQ Joint Task Force Commanders Conference in Abuja. He urged them to encourage and empower personnel under them to think creatively to challenge conventional wisdom, and to embrace change as they strive for continuous improvement.

The CDS, while noting that the two day conference have been filled with engaging discussions, insightful presentations, and invaluable networking opportunities, commended the participation for their unwavering commitment, and valuable contributions during the conference, sighting One of the key takeaways to be the importance of unity of effort.

He said “As commanders, it is imperative that we foster a culture of cooperation, collaboration, and synergy among our forces. By breaking down barriers, sharing resources, and leveraging each other’s strengths, we can maximize our collective impact and achieve our shared objectives.

“Let us bring this spirit of jointness back to our respective task forces and integrate it into our daily operations.
