The movement of cargoes on the single-gauge rail from the Apapa Ports to Ibadan reportedly took-off on September 5. The Minister of Transportation, Senator Saidu Alkali, further disclosed that the Nigerian Railway Corporation (NRC) would subsequently begin the freight haulage on the narrow gauge to Kano in the next three months.
