The Daura township stadium is now wearing a new look courtesy of the intervention the Minister of Youth and Sports development Sunday Dare brokered through Chief Adebutu Kesington, the media team of the Minister has revealed.

According to a statement issued by his media aides on Wednesday, “Prior to the rehabilitation, the Daura Township Stadium pitch was in a pathetic state and unfit for playing football as the soil base could not support and sustain the growth of grass.

“All that has changed with the complete excavation of the old soil and refitting of the Daura township stadium.

“Dare leveraged on the adoption model and got Sir Kesington to directly fund the repairs and upgrade. Nothing tells the story better than the old picture of how the Minister met it and how he has turned it into- a brand new astro turf pitch with a fence around it.

“The Minister also brokered similar interventions at the Moshood Abiola National Stadium Abuja and the Surulere National Stadium, Lagos courtesy of Alhaji Aliko Dangote and Chief Kesington.”
